What does my T- shirt purchase do?
The YOU MATTER t shirt serves a greater purpose that involves 3 buckets. Those buckets belong to the CHECK IN foundation. The foundation is in the infancy stage and was founded in 2025 by the Martinez family to help three avenues that they see need awareness and fundraising for.
The first bucket is the local high school scholarship fund that was started in June 2024 by Martinez elite fitness where two scholarships are given, one for $500 another for $1,000 and is given in the name of their good friend Julian Q who decided to take his own life in October of 2024. These scholarships are given to an Alhambra high school graduate from Martinez, CA.
The second and third buckets will be filled by fundraising for races that support mental health and suicide prevention. The profits from each shirt will go to fill these buckets throughout the year in hopes to help those that are in need of knowing that they matter and that they might understand we’re happy they’re here.
The YOU MATTER t shirt costs $17 to make, that leaves $13 of profit to fill these buckets. We aim to fill the scholarship bucket first and then put the profits to work for the other two once that is accomplished.
